Fundraising for Small Steps SFP
Hi all,
thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This Sunday I will swim, cycle and run as fast as I can in order to raise funds for an amazing Charity that helps Children with special needs and their parents. Tina has got an incredible little God Child called Noah (you can see the two of them on the photo top left). He has done a lot of Small Steps that are much harder for him than for a lot of other children. Noah has got Down Syndrome. He is the most amazing little character who always has a smile for you on his face and knows what he wants. He has stunning parents and with their support and the help and support of ‘Small Steps, School for Parents’ he is doing really well. It is lovely for all of us to see him growing up and seeing him develop new skills. We are so happy for the whole family that ‘Small Steps’ have been so supportive. Let me tell you a little bit about ‘Small Steps’: Small Steps, School for Parents helps children with special needs, aged from birth to 4 years, work on all areas of their development, using the principles of conductive education. These children have cerebral palsy, other forms of motor impairment, syndromes or sensory impairment. They need a great deal of extra stimulation and assistance to help them reach even the most basic milestones. At Small Steps, a teacher, conductor and physiotherapist lead a parent and child team through a structured programme designed to help each child achieve individualised developmental steps. Within each group session, children work through a series of stimulating and challenging tasks addressing every aspect of a young child’s development: physical, social, emotional, communicative and cognitive. Small Steps, School for Parents works towards two goals: to help the child progress in his or her development and to help the parents help the child. Small Steps School for Parents is a registered charity (number 1089161) and does not receive any statutory funding. They are solely dependent on grants, donations and fundraising in order to operate. I hope that with your help many more children and their parents can have this great support when their need is biggest. Thank you, Austin Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
