Story

On Saturday 3rd July 2010, a team of 4 from Balfour Beatty Plant & Fleet Services will be challenging the “Corrie”.   Following in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie we will undertake a gruelling 17 mile run over Scotland’s highest mountain road “The Corrieyairack Pass”.  After descending 2350ft to reach Garva Bridge, we will then tackle a 26 mile cycle road race to the finish line at Kincraig’s famous village fete & Celildh - all in the aid of charity.

During this fundraising event we are seeking individual and corporate sponsorship, and would be extremely grateful of any support you may be able to pledge.

Our charity, one which is very close to my heart, is The Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.

After loosing my 18yr old brother in a cycle/ road traffic accident 6 months ago there could be no other way to thank the crew of The Agusta for all their kind efforts when they attended to him on the tragic day and for their continued support since than to help raise the funds needed to run this vital charity.  Unlike other Air Ambulances the DLRAA does not receive any government or lottery funding.

Each time it raises propellers it costs a minimum of £1000 and has an annual basic running cost of over £1.5 million.
