Where will yours end up?

Join The Great Balloon Race, launching from 25 Gresham Street on 27th May 2010.

The owner of the balloon to travel the furthest will win champagne and and amazing hot air balloon trip for two!

Entry to the race is free, but we would appreciate it if you make a suggested donation of:

£3 for 1 balloon

£5 for 2 balloons

Remember the more balloons you have, the bigger the chance of winning the race and the luxury balloon ride prize!

All money raise goes to our charity of the year, the British Heart Foundation

The winner will be contacted by the 16th June.  Balloons are biodegradable.

The Great Balloon Race: a balloon prize draw.

Terms and Conditions

1. Open to Lloyds Banking Group staff (including agency and contract staff), and friends and family of Lloyds Banking Group staff who are resident in the UK, excluding any Lloyds Banking Group staff associated with the administration of the free prize draw.

2. Entries are limited to 30 per person.

3. Enter the prize draw:

a) Through the Just Giving site:

Please enter your name, BHF donation amount, and in the comments section, add the number of tickets requested and your contact telephone number.

If you wish for your contact telephone number to remain anonymous, please make the donation on the justgiving site, enter your name in the comments section, and then email amy.tatton-brown@lloydstsb.co.uk with your contact details to ensure you are entered into the balloon race.

b) Through ticket sellers – the only ticket sellers are the members of the One Heart for HR programme.

4. The Balloon Race is free to enter. There is a suggested donation of £3 for one ticket or £5 for 2 tickets. However this is a suggestion. Bigger donations will be gratefully received by the British Heart Foundation to whom all the proceeds of this draw will be donated.

5.  The balloon race draw is open between 9am on 4th May 2010 and 1pm on Thursday 27th May.  Any entries accepted after the closing date will not be entered into the draw.

6. For each ticket, purchased through the just giving site, or purchased from an authorised ticket seller, the Balloon Race team will assign a unique number. This number will be attached to a balloon on a tag, so that the number of balloons released equals the numbers of tickets bought, and each has a unique number.

7. When the balloons land, the tags request that they are posted to the British Heart Foundation head office. The winner of the draw, will be owner of the tag that is posted from the furthest distance to 25 Gresham Street EC2V 7HN and received before 2pm Monday 14th June. Any tag received after this time cannot win the draw. By owner of the tag, it is meant the person who bought the ticket that corresponds to the unique number on the balloon tag. The promoter’s decision on the winner is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. The winner will be contacted by phone before 16th June and their name will be announced on the One Heart For HR Website.

6. There is 1 prize of 2 tickets to a Virgin Balloon Flight (see terms and conditions at http://www.virginballoonflights.co.uk) and 1 bottle of champagne. The prize does not include the cost of transport or accommodation required for the winner to attend the event.  The promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal or greater value. 

If the winner does not require both 2 tickets, they can request for an additional prize winner to be drawn.

The promoter and the event organiser reserve the right to exclude any of the hospitality ticket holders from the event without liability.  There is no cash alternative.

7. The winner can choose the date of their balloon flight within a 1 year period subject to the terms and conditions of http://www.virginballoonflights.co.uk. They should not take time of work to use the balloon flight, unless agreed with their line manager.

8. In the unlikely event that the promoter cannot contact the winner by 2pm on Monday 21st June the prize will no longer be available to the winner. The prize will go to the person who owns the tag returned from the 2nd furthest distance from .

9. The winner may be required to participate in future publicity in connection with this promotion for the benefit of the promoter or the British Heart Foundation. 

10. The name and county of the winner will be available by sending a SAE to Amy Tatton-Brown, . They will also be published on the One Heart for HR website. The details of the entrants will be retained by the promoter solely for the purposes of administering the draw and analysing the success of the draw
