Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On Thursday October 7th 2010 Jack Freeman and Ben Surdeau are going to depart on a cycle ride from London to Paris departing from Upton Park with the intention of arriving at the Arc de Triomphe on Saturday 9th October. The aim of this is to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK.
Stephanie Moore MBE established the Bobby Moore Fund, in partnership with Cancer Research UK, in 1993.
The Fund was set up in memory of Stephanie's late husband, footballer Bobby Moore OBE, who sadly died from bowel cancer, aged just 51.
The Bobby Moore Fund raises money for research into bowel cancer and also public awareness of the disease.
To date the Bobby Moore Fund has raised over £14 million for dedicated bowel cancer research. The funds are spent on high-quality bowel cancer research carried out by leading scientists working across the UK.
The money raised so far has funded 37 Bobby Moore Research Fellowships and three additional research projects.
