Story
A very dear friend of mine has just begun Chemotherapy treatment for Lymphoma. While we discussed crazy wigs and pretty hats I offered to match her, lost hair for lost hair. She said I was only allowed to shave all my hair off if I at least did it for charity.
So why ME Research, and not cancer?
My friend has probably had cancer for about a year without it being spotted. She has had symptoms the whole time. A very long list of doctors have done nothing but prescribe antibiotics, steam, vicks, beechams and hot toddies. She has ME and Fibromyalgia, so they have just dismissed her concerns because they DON'T KNOW ENOUGH about the condition.
The current prognosis is that there is an 80-90% chance that the cancer will respond to chemo, and my dear friend will be able to get back to life without lymphoma. There is no current cure or prevention for ME. She deserves better odds than that.
