Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As some of you will know in January Tahla was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Ulcerative Colitis, we are therefore looking to raise money for the NACC to fund research for treatment and hopefully one day a cure. The condition is going to affect Tahla on a day to day basis for the rest of her life and the NACC work to try and improve the life of people suffering with the both Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns Disease.
Please sponsor us to do the annual NACC walk to raise money for this cause. Even Danielle, Caitlyn and Harrison are joining in to do their bit!! We are not going to ask for you to sponsor us individually just as a group so please even if you can only afford a pound every penny will help.
Below is more information on the NACC.
Thank you!
Colitis and Crohn's are inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) which last a lifetime and for which there is no known cure. They can strike at any age but most commonly begin in children, teenagers and young adults. Around 240,000 people in the UK have these conditions and more are diagnosed each year.
Symptoms can include relentless diarrhoea; bleeding; severe pain; exhaustion; eye, skin and joint problems, and in the case of children, impaired growth. The conditions can have a devastating impact on education, work, social and family life.
The National Association for Colitis and Crohn's Disease (NACC) is the major UK charity offering information and support to people affected by these conditions. Established in 1979 as a partnership between patients, their families, friends and the health professionals caring for them, NACC's services includehelplines, a website, and a wide range of leaflets and information sheets. NACC also raises awareness, campaigns for improved health care and funds vital research.
