Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 3rd September 2010, myself and 3 of my friends will be undertaking a 2 day, 200 mile, charity bicycle ride to raise money for Derian house which is a hospice in Chorley who provide respite for disabled/terminally ill children. Further info can be found at www.derianhouse.co.uk

This is a charity that is particularly close to my heart as my own son, Alexander, suffers from severe Cerebral Palsy and he loves his visits to Derian House. By raising as much money as we can, we can help ensure that other families in similar circumstances can continue to enjoy the fantastic respite that Derian House, and it's superb staff, provide.

The route will take us from:

Day 1: Leigh, Lancashire, to Barmouth, Wales (100 miles)
Day 2: Barmouth back to Leigh (100 miles)

Last year I completed a ride from Manchester to Blackpool and raised £900 for this great charity. This year, I want to at least double that and I'm writing to you today to see if you would be willing to sponsor us to help us reach our £1800 target.

Any pledge you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to your response.

Regards,
Rob Leyland.
