Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Barney, Nicki and I have decided (in a moment of madness) to rise to the challenge and participate in the Great North Run as part of the Hays Action for Children charity Team. We will be joining 54,000 other runners/idiots to take part in the worlds biggest, and most iconic half marathon on Sunday 19th September, in Newcastle. Our collective pain and suffering will also be broadcast to millions as the BBC has live coverage of the event for your general amusement.

This is a challenge that we have not untaken lightly…oh no.

Last time I spoke to my fellow runners Barney had yet to start  training, while Nicki was slightly further ahead in her preparation, she had walked round the kitchen in her new trainers. I am still struggling with knee injuries that I picked up while running the Edinburgh marathon in May, so as a team we have some work to do!!

Your generous denotations will spur us on and encourage us to hit the gym and start pounding those pavements with newfound enthusiasm!
