The girls of Barry Slimming World Groups are coming together to raise money for Tŷ Hafan. It's a fantastic cause and gets us all motivated to do a little extra 'Body Magic' too! Members of Slimming World in Barry will be giving up a night's sleep so that Tŷ Hafan can provide some Mums with a well earned break. The eight mile walk will start at midnight on Friday 30th April when we will be walking with our family, friends and over a 1,000 women.

 

For some Mums, a couple of hours sleep is the best they can hope for. They are up most of the night, every night of the year, caring for their life-limited child. Life limited means the child is expected to die before reaching 19. The mums that Tŷ Hafan support help need their sleep most of all!

Tŷ Hafan was established to provide respite, palliative and end of life care to children in Wales who suffer from life-limiting conditions. Children and their families might receive support for many years or just for a few days at the end of life. Either way, Tŷ Hafan provides love, care and support for the children and their families absolutely free of charge.

Tŷ Hafan is a registered charity and was established entirely from public donations. It now costs £2.5 million a year to run the hospice and all but 17% (Government funding) is raised through the generosity of our donors and supporters.
