A lot of my time is spent working in the construction sector offering advice on environmental matters. Health and safety goes hand-in-hand with environmental good practice. My work has made me very aware of the health and safety risks that construction workers are subjected to. Unfortunately, there are still people in the industry that pay the price with their health and through accidents. That’s why I want to contribute towards this worthwhile charity by running  the London Marathon.

The lighthouse Club have been delivering charitable welfare and support to the construction community since 1956. The objectivie of the club is to fundraise within a collegiate friendly environment and pass those funds on to individuals and families within the construction industry who are in financial crisis as a consequence of ill health, injury, disability or bereavement. All of the clubs are run by volunteers who give up their time freely to organise local networking events to raise much needed funds to deliver their charitable work.

I am honoured to have been given a charity place by my client 'Clugston Construction'.

I have completed many half marathons and have always thought about doing a full marathon but never actually done anything about it. I have been a member of a running club for 2 years and feel that now is the time to take the plunge and complete my first marathon. Although I have one of my biggest challenges ahead of me,  I feel mentally and physically ready.
