On Sunday 5th December, we took part in the Bedford Santa Run. This was a 5km run around The Embankment starting at 11pm. We all wore Santa suits and amused drivers as we drove to the race! Charlie Palmer came first in a new course record time of 19 minutes. Some other team members were close behind and everyone finished. I was lapped by Charlie but managed to finish ahead of a small child on a scooter. The goody bags contained lots of chocolate and the whole experience was one that we shall repeat next year. Ho! Ho! Ho!

Keech Hospice Care provides specialist palliative for adults and children diagnosed with a life-limiting condition. Its adult hospice service looks after patients in Luton and South Bedfordshire and its children's hospice cares for children and their families across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Care at the hospices focuses on helping patients to enjoy the best quality of life possible - controlling their pain and other symptoms; offering emotional and practical support; providing suitable treatments and therapies including complementary therapy, music and hydrotherapy and, when the time comes providing the best care to ensure a comfortable and dignified death.
