Story

Ride for Rhinos is a unique safari on horseback that takes place annually in the Waterberg, South Africa. The purpose is to raise funds for rhino conservation and community support for the region, by helping to bring opportunity and economic benefit. The Waterberg is one of the last bastions of rhino on the planet and so needs all our support to ensure that these magnificent animals have a future. The Ride starts on the 12,500 acre reserve belonging to Ant Africa Safaris, before setting out across the stunning landscape of the Waterberg. Over the week, riders will ride with rhino, canter with giraffe, camp under the African night sky and make friends for life. It truly is an adventure of a lifetime that requires determination, a level of fitness and a sense of humour to make the distance of 250km, 6-7 hours a day in the saddle. Each rider is paying all the costs associated with taking part so that every penny raised goes to UK charity Waterberg Rhino.
