We fund long-term, sustainable research to find a cure for brain tumours

Story

My 34 year old brother–in-law Paul, was diagnosed with a terminal Glioblastoma multiforme Grade4 brain tumour (GBM4) in Aug 2013; he was given 12-18 months to live. My niece was only 18 months old at the time and we want her daddy in her life for as long as possible.

So far Paul’s treatment has been successful in the slowing down of a very aggressive cancer.  He's coped so well with everything that has been thrown at him and we are very proud of him and the challenges he's faced, we hope to raise a considerable amount with our fundraising, to continue the research in hope they can find something to help him and many others.

When Paul was fit and able he was always very active and climbing Snowdon would have been a walk in the park for him. Now its not something he would be able to accomplish so with inspiration from Paul and his continued determination I have taken this challenge upon myself.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
