Celebrate International Women's Day with a sunrise swim to raise funds for Moray Rape Crisis!

Who wants to join us for an invigorating, endorphin releasing and a fun dip in the sea while also contributing to a meaningful cause?

Moray Rape Crisis supports anyone from age 11, of any gender, who have experienced any kind of sexual violence at any time in their lives.

There have currently been 138 referrals since opening in September 2018 and there is a waiting list of around 6 months.

Moray Rape Crisis is the official charity for Moray Business Women this year. This swim is being organised by two members to contribute towards the group's fundraising goal.

Last year, on IWD, the 8th March, a group of wild swimmers in Edinburgh gathered at sunrise on International Women's Day to plunge into the sea off Portobello beach (photo above, copyright Anna Deacon).

This year, they've extended the invite to groups across Scotland to join in and create their own IWD Swimrise, in aid of a local charity supporting women.

There is a small but keen group of swimmers all along the Moray Coast and throughout Scotland who enjoy a regular dip in the sea. There are many more who are curious to try, and find out what the buzz is all about, this is your chance! Join in the joy!
