Story
Alone in London is an organisation that provides a range of services to empower vulnerable young people. Alone in London still needs to fundraise for the full cost of all its services and relies on your support to enable it to carry out the important work it does.
Alone in London are an amazing group who work to prevent homelessness amongst young people, aged 16 - 25 through a range of services. They empower young people by developing the skills and resources they need to secure sustainable and safe accommodation and to fulfil their potential. They even support families and other agencies to achieve the same goals.
After doing some research I found that at least 75,000 young people are in contact with homelessness services every year in the UK.
So............ From Posh to Poor
In 6 weeks on the 8th May to the 10th May I will be undertaking 48 hours of being Homeless. This will entail from sleeping rough in the streets of London Hackney where there is a very high density of homelessness, raising awareness throughout the days, interviewing current homeless people and eating and drinking very little amounts just to see how hard it really is to live and show how lucky most of us really are. I will show you exactly what could happen and what currently happens to young people in the UK every day. I promise to go to the full extent and do everything that someone without money would do. I will be starting from 8am on Friday and ending at 8pm on Sunday
I will be making a video entry every 2 hours just to update you on everything I will be doing and how it's going.
So please dig deep and show your support and help raise awareness to the people who have lost everything
Thank you and have a great day :)
