Story

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem

‘Whosoever feeds a hungry believer will be fed by Allah on the Day of Judgement from the fruits of Paradise, and whoever quenches his thirst will have his thirst quenched from the Sealed Nectar, and whoever clothes him will be clothed from the green silk of Paradise’ [Tirmidhi]

Brothers and sisters, we all know how the cold feels. We all know how much pain, discomfort and harm the freezing temperatures can bring to us, especially the young and old.

The only difference is that we know but we don’t feel.Because Alhamdulillah we all have roofs above our heads, central heating, clothes in excess and everything we need to keep warm.

The reality however is FAR DIFFERENT for our MILLIONS of brothers and sisters in SYRIA.Following years of war, turmoil, torture and displacement, snow has now hit the lands of Shaam and millions of children, women, men and elderly are living in conditions which we cannot even imagine. Some do not even have shoes and are walking within the snow. Parents are struggling to keep their childrenwarm in sub-zero temperatures.

Brothers and sisters, we are all reading this within the four walls of our warm homes. In conditions where we don’t face an iota of discomfort due to the cold weather as Allah has blessed us so much with countless bounties.

We need to share this warmthwith our brothers and sisters in Syria insha’Allah. We cannot wait for more lives to be lost. For what reason, a lack of adequate clothing and blankets! Reports have said that Allahul Must’an – a baby has died due to the freezing weather. How will we answer to Allah? How can we allow innocent lives to be lost through the cold? When we ourselves have so much to protect us from it.

Please brothers and sisters, your donations can bring so much comfort, warmth and peace back into the lives of our children, sisters and families of Syria. You can never be in loss by giving in the way of Allah. Just keep your trust in Him Alone, Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, dig deep into your heart and deeper into your pockets and please give fisabilillah.
