Story
After the birth of our boy Seamus we had a stay of 5 weeks in intensive care and special care units. Seamus was born with gastroschsis and had to undergo a surgical procedure in the first week of his life. It then took a further 4 weeks to recover and establish feeding.
We were over 100 miles from home and without the Ronald Macdonald House our highly emotional and stressful time would have been much worse. The house offers free accommodation to families with sick children and can only keep its doors open with donations and fundraising. The house has en suite rooms, cooking and cleaning facilities plus a direct phone line to your childs ward at the hospital. It really was a home from home and with out the house I am not sure how Laura and I would have coped.
I will be running the Inverness half marathon and if you could sponsor me I would be extremely grateful.
