Story
Standing at the finishing line of two marathons is very humbling - enough to make me promise myself to run one. So I committed months ago and I can't believe it is serious countdown time already! Getting fit after three kids is certainly a motivation, but I am running to raise funds for the British Lung Foundation in memory of my father, a non-smoker who died of a rare and vicious lung disease. 1 in 7 in the UK is affected by lung disease. It is a very frightening condition to suffer from and a major cause of death. Not the most popular charity to raise funds for but such an important one and desperately in need of support.
I would be enormously grateful for any sponsorship and promise to do my best on the day. I have been training fairly hard, roughly 80 miles a month in spite of the snow and ice and I ran a 21 'miler' a couple of weeks ago, so fingers crossed.
Huge thanks, Bryony x
