During school closure round 2, we decided to start running together as an escape from the hell that was juggling homeschooling with paid employment. We decided to really push ourselves to train for this event, and the fact that the beneficiary charity is Havering Mind is very fitting. More now than ever, mental health charities need all the support they can get. Most were already under enormous pressure and the pandemic has caused new cases of mental health issues, and the worsening of existing issues to sky rocket, leaving a huge gap in funding.
