Story

The tricky ascent of Snowdon awaits the NFU Mutual Customer Services (CS) senior management team - led by Steve Bower, CS Director. The team will tackle the mountain climb in aid of a great charity, Aylesford Unit at Warwick Hospital.

Aylesford Unit, has treatment facilities for patients with a diagnosis, or suspected diagnosis, of cancer. It is a high quality, state-of-the-art, purpose built Ambulatory Cancer Unit and also has a dedicated information centre for patients, carers and staff.

A colleague and member of the CS team, Rolf Wilson, recently received treatment at the Aylesford unit. Rolf said: "I am very grateful to all the team at the Aylesford unit for their professionalism and caring and personal approach whilst I attended the unit. It would be great if we could raise some funds to help them carry on their good work. "

Funds raised will enable staff at the Aylesford unit to purchase higher specification equipment for use in the treatment of cancer - which will help improve patient care.

Money donated will also go towards making patient areas more comfortable with enhancements to furnishings that are beyond NHS standard. Such as refurbishment to the waiting area where families often wait for extended periods of time whilst their loved ones undergo chemotherapy. Staff will also benefit from fundraising through the purchase of equipment that aids in their training for care of cancer patients.

Thanks in advance for any amount you can donate to this worthy cause.
