Story

PLEASE SPONSOR US TO CYCLE TO CANNES FOR A GOOD CAUSE…

4DAYS | 1500KM

We are cycling 1500km to MIPIM 2007 to raise money for four important charities: LAND AID, THE TOM AP RHYS PRYCE MEMORIAL TRUST, SARAH MATHESON TRUST and ARCHITECTS FOR AID (A4A).

A4A is the recipient charity, which will distribute equal amounts to the other three charities. Cycle to Cannes 2006 was a great event and saw 17 riders raise £110, 000. So with more riders expected this year, we hope to more than double our target to £250,000, if not exceed it!

The Cycle to Cannes ride 9 -12 March 2007 will have a rolling road closure from Calais to Cannes , which will provide fantastic cycling conditions. The relay, made up of three pelotons, will each ride 100 miles a day in two sessions. The winner of the baton competition, launched in Building Design, will have their baton carried from London to Cannes and handed to Ken Livingstone on the London stand along with a cheque for the money raised for charity.

If you are a friend or relative of one of the riders then every little bit helps us reach our goal. If you are a company connected to the building industry then this is a fantastic opportunity for making a significant contribution to charity alongside MIPIM 2007.

Thank you for visiting the Cycle to Cannes fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is the most efficient way to sponsor us: ARCHITECTS FOR AID will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. When you make a sponsorship online donation please say in the comment box which rider you are sponsoring.
