ALK positive is a type of lung cancer not associated with smoking, but  a genetic mutation with no known cause or cure.

Lung cancer is extremely underfunded due to the common belief that its a smokers disease and they deserve it. No one deserves cancer even if they have made wrong choices in life.

Despite never smoking my cousin at the age of 17 was diagnosed with lung cancer. She has never let this impact her, always keeping an amazing positive attitude and managing to complete a nursing degree where she can help others.
