I will be competing in a 1000km endurance race on the 29th of July and although it may be a fun experience it will also be physically challenging, therefore I thought it would be a good opportunity to raise awareness for mental health sufferers and their families. I know of individuals who have suffered from mental illness and so I felt The Shaw Mind Foundation was an unprecedented breed of charity, with a direct and hands on approach.

The Shaw Mind Foundation consists of highly accredited mental health experts, ex-sufferers, trustees and patrons who volunteer their time and expertise, without remuneration. This is why they need the support of donations.
