Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It has come to that time of year again when I'm spending every spare hour either down the gym or outside running. The Great North Run is almost upon me, September 19th and counting down!
Last year I was unable to run due to an accident 2 weeks just before the race, but now I'm back with vengeance, more determined than ever to beat my last time and help raise vital funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
This will be my 4th Great North Run, east time I have raised money for the MS Society in aid of my Father, who has suffered from MS for as long as I can remember. He is a great influence in my life and all that I do. Just the thought of what he and many others have suffered from this illness spurs me on through all my training and on the day I know the pain I feel is nothing compared to what he feels every single day.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society is a great organisation that not only pumps over 2 million pounds a year into research, but also provides financial support for sufferers and thier familes, as well as funding MS Nurses and specialists so that more and more people can recieve professional care. They campagin for wider access to MS treatments and organise resbite and short breaks for those who are severely effected. This is just the tip of the iceburg.
