Two years ago July Ian ran his best 10k time ever but
sadly never got to the end on his next 10k on that fateful day 15th
November 2015.  Thanks to the wonderful support of the Windmilers, the Windmiler coaches and special  friends Mark, Rachel ,Sue , Dunisha, Bernie , Kris , Maggie, Catrina, Sarah, Chloe , Lorna , Farah and Alison I  have kept up running with the Windmilers and in memory of Ian I am going to run my first half marathon in Reykjavik, Iceland this August.

A group of 12 of us Windmilers are heading to Reykjavik on 18 August and Ian's best friend Mark is even running the full marathon. Sue and Lorna who were with me every second that fateful Sunday morning when Ian collapsed on the 10k run  and many of Ian's fellow 5 mile runners are in training with us each Sunday spurring us on under the expert guidance of Rachel and Dunisha.

Thanks to the generosity of family, friends , the Windmilers and the amazing Wimbledon community we have already raised nearly £4500 for Family Action and have helped 5 young people achieve their dreams to study which Ian always promoted.

Ian would be so proud of Craig who got his 2.1 degree and is now working in the city and of Laura who has got through  her A levels and hopefully off to university and we wanted to keep supporting Family Action who help  disadvantaged  young people
achieve their educational potential.

In memory of Ian we would appreciate any donations for this run in Iceland and
this run is for him - always in our thoughts, always in our hearts,  missed terribly, loved forever.
