In May I will be going on a trip to South Africa where we will be trekking and camping for 5 nights and days in the Cederberg mountains before spending 3 days working on a school project for children who have been orphaned by AIDS.

In order to go on the trip I need to raise £2,000 of which a minimum of 25% will be donated to Carphone Warehouse's charities, Get Connnected and TreeHouse.

Get Connected are a charity who put young people in touch with the resources that they need for their specific issue free of charge, be it advice on how to find somwhere to sleep for the night or a sympathetic ear to listen to their problems and point them in the right direction.

TreeHouse are an autism education charity and as it's currently estimated that 1 in every 100 primary school children has some form of autism much help is needed to educate the public and provide better resources for these children.

In order to raise the money I will be doing a 7km run in Blenheim on April 29th. I've never run this far before!
