Whilst vegetating on the sofa after a rather large Christmas lunch, we found ourselves talking about the idea of creating a relay team for the Belfast Marathon. Here we are, a week later, and the idea has become a reality! The application is in, the flights have been booked and now comes the hard part - the training! Given that at least 3 members of the team have done absolutely no exercise in several months (maybe years), this could be quite a challenge!!

 

Knowing that we are raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, however, will help us all strive towards our training targets. Having lost a loved one to this cruel disease, we are only too aware of how worthwhile this charity is.

 

On 3rd May, 2010, we will be in Belfast and each of the five team members will be running a leg of the marathon. Jonathan will be running 7.1 miles, Chris 6 miles, Catherine 4.8 miles, Michelle 4.8 miles and Claudia 3.5 miles.
