Thank you for visiting my just giving page.

On 5th September I will be running the Adidas 5k challenge at Hyde Park.  I will be raising funds for two charities: Kith and Kin and God's Golden Acre. 

Kith and Kin is a charity working with children and young people with learning and physical disabilities. It runs weekend and holiday projects to help them develop new skills and self-confidence, and provides advice and support for their parents.

God's Golden Acre is a non-profit making charity involved in the care of children who have been orphaned or abandoned because of HIV/AIDS related illness and violence. it is based in Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa. 

Rather than simply putting the children in orphanages, the charity strives to keep children in their community setting by assisting families to support themselves through providing a good education and nurturing and developing the natural talents and aptitudes of each and every child.  As many of you will know I will be working at the orphanage during August as part of a service project to celebrate the Guiding Centenary.

Hopefully you will agree that these are two very worthwhile causes and I hope that you feel able to sponsor me.
