Story
So..I've decided to try something new in 2010, and have signed up to do an abseil off Earl's Court on the 5th of September to raise money for Retail Trust, one of the charities my company works with.
This is a whopping 66ft drop, and since I wobble on slightly high steps this could be amusing. Even more so as I will be dressed as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
So, Retail Trust:
They are the only charity to look after all 3 million people working in
retail. The charity has been around for more than 100 years and over
that time they have changed many peoples' lives for the better.
They deal with everything from bullying, racism, abuse, victims of crime, drugs, work, personal issues and everything in between. They are a safety net for anyone who has or does work in retail, with calls to the Helpline increasing by 92% in the last year. By raising this money we can help them do even more.
I need to raise £200, so anything you can donate will be appreciated. As an added incentive (bonus?), if you'd ike to come and watch me make a turtle of myself, please do. I'll definitely be in need of a stiff drink afterwards.
Whoosh!
