The 'HELL RUNNER' is fast approaching!!!
Please help support Dave 'The Nine Inch Nail' Newcomb, Paul 'The Fifty Cal.' Quaife and Sam 'The Man Severer' McSevich, as they run the Hell Runner with me in support of this most worthy cause. This is an EXTREME cross country endurance race in the freezing cold month of January!!! They will be facing twelve miles of mud, rocks, sand dunes, frozen lakes and THE BOG OF DOOM!!!
Take a look at this YouTube video and give these fine chaps some support. Hopefully the Air Ambulance will be on standby for us!? Haha
Through events such as this and with the help of my friends, I have been very busy doing my best to raise funds to support the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. I have my own reasons for supporting this charity and I'd happily chat to you about my experiences. I have quite a unique viewpoint of the amazing work that they do and needless to say, I have seen many lives saved, where I'm sure they'd have been lost without this special life-line...
When I found out it operates solely on charitable donations, I was astonished and I thought "that really can't be right!?" And so, I decided to do my best to try and help them out and with your support, I think we are all helping to do our 'little bit'.
So, what's all this about?
In February, I will be taking part in a challenge with a small team, to climb the near 20,000ft summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa to help raise even more vital funds that the helicopter needs to operate and ALL of the money I raise goes direct to the charity! My personal aim is to try and raise £3500 for them.
Thanks again to Sam, Dave and Paul. I'm really looking forward ('ish) to running the Hell Runner with you.
AND, thank you to YOU for helping me to support the amazing work of the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance through this challenge. It's very much appreciated by a lot of people.
Cheers
Jamie
