We provide mental health services to help those recovering from mental health

Story

Thanks for visiting our fund raising page.

Chariots of Fire is one of Cambridgeshire’s largest annual charity events. The race follows in the footsteps of the famous film, taking its scenic route through the streets and colleges of Cambridge, with teams of six running a 1.7 mile course in relay format.

For 2009, Cam-mind has been chosen to benefit from the funds raised. Cam-mind is the longest established mental health charity in Cambridge – having supported local people experiencing mental health problems since 1908.

Mental health problems can happen to anyone, and most people can and do recover. Cam-mind’s services are designed to support mental health service users on their road to recovery. These services include supported housing, one-to-one befriending, and skills-building/social activities such as football, gardening, pottery and cookery. These projects are about re-building confidence, providing social support, promoting recovery and preventing isolation.

Please dig deep and help us raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.

Many thanks!

Patrick, Amy, Sammie, George, Miakela and Barbara
