Story
I’m very excited to share that I’ve been selected to attend my alma maters Medical Mission Trip to Pucallpa, Peru. Having an opportunity to serve on a mission trip was one of the main things that called me to attend Baptist University as a student. Unfortunately, due to Covid it wasn’t an option before graduation. Baptist has given alumni the opportunity to attend and provide medical care to indigenous Peruvians in April of 2023. While there we’ll be be going to various outlying villages each day to set up field clinics for those who lack access to essential health services. We’ll also be hosting clinics within a local city school to provide basic medical care for students, staff, and their families traveling from their villages.
I entered the healthcare field with the desire to help those in need in hopes to make a positive impact within the profession. I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve alongside the institution who provided me with the skills I have today. This trip will be a time to expands those skills, as well as myself spiritually. I’ve developed a fundraising page for those who are interested in donating to this cause. For those who aren’t able to give a monetary donation, you can also help by sharing this page and keeping my team in your thoughts and prayers throughout this journey!
