Story

As many of you will know, my wife, Emmakate, was diagnosed with breast cancer during her pregnancy. Don’t worry, both EK and our delightful baby, Flora, are fine but it did add a number of complications to both the surgery and the pregnancy.

We have been so supported by friends, colleagues and family as well as everyone at Guernsey’s Princess Elizabeth Hospital and we are hugely thankful for all your kind help, love and generosity. Words can’t come close to describing our gratitude.

We have also been supported by the Guernsey Society for Cancer Relief to whom we would like to show our appreciation by raising a bit of money for them.

EK’s beautiful hair has already succumbed to the chemotherapy treatment, but mine has not! Indeed, I haven’t had the hair on my head cut since Flora was born, some four and a half months ago! So - off it will come on Saturday 13th July!

Will you please support me in this by a) giving generously! and b) joining us for the head shave at Harper Rae salon on St. Julian’s Avenue at 4.30 on 13th July. (It’s the old Avenue Flowers shop).

To make it more of an event - the highest donor gets to do the shave! Oh and I dare say we’ll repair to a pub for a pint or two afterward!
