We are trying to tackle the large scale mental health problem in the construction industry.
If you are a male under 45 in the UK, suicide remains the biggest killer. If you work in construction, times that by three.
Nearly 75% of construction workers feel that their employers are not well equipped to deal with mental health - this needs to change! It is our duty to do more and to help others in understanding, recognising and preventing these high rates of suicide.
Mates in Mind is a registered UK charity raising awareness and helping organisations across the UK address the stigma of poor mental health and prioritising the wellbeing of their workforces. Through donations they are able to help organisations provide the skills, clarity and confidence to invest in the health of people.
