Over Christmas and New Year I will be spending 16 days trekking to Everest Base Camp at 5,500m altitude to raise money for P3 Charity. I've been told I need a -30 sleeping bag to keep me warm, so let's all pray I come back with 10 toes!

P3 Charity (People, Potential, Possibilities) aims to improve the lives and communities by delivering services for socially excluded and vulnerable people to unlock their potential and open up new possibilities.

The money raised will go towards supporting the homeless – especially with the upcoming winter – and to fund essential services to get them off the streets and into safe accommodation. Not having the luxury of my own bed or being surrounded by family and loved ones this Christmas, the experience will be sure to remind me of how lucky I truly am.
