Story
I know it sounds unbelievable, but I am going to be tackling the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon on the 3rd October 2021.
I am not a runner. I am not fit. I can’t run 2.6 miles let alone ten times that. I'm going to have to start with following the Couch to 5k plan....and then keep building it up. This is going to be the biggest challenge I have ever undertaken.
My mother has been battling Parkinson’s for 20 years and has shown such incredible strength over these years I hope to be able to do something that will help people in the future that are diagnosed with this cruel disease.
Drugs are so incredibly important to help manage the effects of this disease. Cure Parkinson’s is working with urgency to find new treatments to slow, stop and reverse Parkinson’s. Their funding and innovation has redefined the field of Parkinson’s research, enabling the world’s leading researchers to prioritise the next generation of drugs for clinical trial.
