Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you already know, I have [bravely/stupidly] signed myself up to do the Great North Swim which is a one mile swim in lake Windermere on Sunday 13th September. I am doing this in support of Guide Dogs for the Blind and hope to raise £150.00 in the process.

Guide Dogs for the Blind is the largest breeder and trainer of working guide dogs and some 21,000 people have benefited from their work. It is a very worthy cause and any donation that you might be able to make towards my swim would go towards allowing more partially sighted people to be given independence by the use of a guide dog.

For more information on Guide Dogs for the Blind, please see www.guidedogs.org.uk

So anyway if you would like to donate that would be great! Whatever you do though, please be keeping your fingers crossed for me on the 13th September. I need all the help I can get!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
