On the 22nd August I will be attempting to swim 5 miles, thats 320 lengths at the New Vision Fitness Centre in March. 

I have decided to raise money from this event for the Meningitis Research Foundation because of the support they gave me and my family when I contracted Pneumococcal Meningitis at just 3 months old.  

I spent 3 weeks in Hospital whilst doctors battled for my life, making all efforts to cure this illness. My family could not have got through this without the love and support we had from the foundation, friends and Doctors. The foundation helped us, my family to understand exactly the severity of this illness and were always there to answer any questions we had and to reassure us.

I have added some pictures of myself when I was in hospital and as I am now. You will see how lucky I was to make a full recovery and live a normal life.
