Story
I am the Chair of the Trustees of RICE which is such a worthwhile Bath based charity primarily supporting people with dementia. I missed doing it last year due to a broken face but hope to get round this year intact!
More than 850,000 people have dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051. However, there is currently no cure, and no new drugs have been licensed to treat the disease since 2002.RICE is an internationally renowned charity which provides services and support for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. We undertake vital research to learn more about the ageing process, find new and better treatments, and improve the quality of life for older people.
