Thanks for taking the time to visit Kate's campaign page in support of the Marina Dalglish appeal
Kate found out she had breast cancer in 2008, and had been 10 years clear when she was told the cancer had returned in her spine, whilst she was pregnant with her second daughter, Katie Hope. Unfortunately Kate's cancer is incurable.
Kate has moved us all throughout her time working at RSA, being both friend and colleague. Her story is one that has moved and inspired us in equal measure, which is also evident from the response following the BBC2 Hospital programme and social media support.
Kate's treatment is now focused on slowing the growth of the tumour so she can spend as much time as possible with daughters Clara, Katie, husband Glen and her family.
We at RSA have decided that we would like to show Kate our support in a more tangible way, by fundraising. Kate has asked for the proceeds to go to the Marina Dalglish appeal.
Kate has recently commented, "I’ve just finished two weeks of Radiotherapy, which absolutely exhausted me. Without the wonderful work of this charity I would have had to travel to Clatterbridge every day."
