On 27 August 2010 our daughter, Lily Rosina, was delivered stillborn at 36 weeks. If the ordeal of losing a child wasn't enough, my partner, Nickie, had to stay in hospital for over a week due to poor health from the pre-eclampsia that caused Lily's death.

UK Sands is a registered charity helping families in our situation. They fund a special room in the hospital secluded from the new mother and babies, instead of being on the ward in amongst them. If it wasn't for them, our ordeal would have been even more devastating.
