In September 2010 I will be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world and the highest peak in Africa, towering into the clouds at 5895m (19340 ft).

Whilst climbing this mountain is something I have always wanted to do for myself, I would also like to raise some money for charity. I have decided to split my efforts between 2 very different organisations, both of whose work I support and feel is very important. 

Sadly we all probably know someone who has had cancer or have lost someone close to us to this disease, and it is through the research of such organisations as Cancer Research UK that peoples hopes of fighting cancer are much improved. 

I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to undertake such an amazing challenge, and hope that you can support my fund raising efforts.
