I was diagnosed with vasculitis in April 2012. Vasculitis is a rare disease of the immune system which, if not treated promptly can be fatal. Fortunately I was diagnosed in time and after an extensive initial treatment period, involving steroids and chemotherapy I am now making a good recovery. Not everyone is fortunate in getting an early diagnosis and good treatment. This can result in permanent disabilities or in rare cases death.
