Once again I am going to take a gentle stroll around the Isle of Man! On June 23rd I will be taking part in the Parish Walk an 85 mile walk visiting each of the 17 parishes on the island in just 24 hours. This year will be my fourth time, I am hoping to better my previous finishing times and complete the course in under 19 hours. This is a tough event where only around 700 people have finished in the last 50 years. Although I have improved my time each year this doesn't mean this event is getting any easier to do; it just reflects the time and effort put into training.

To put this distance into perspective it is like walking from Manchester to Birmingham or Stockport to Scarbourough in a day!!

For those of you who have been generous enough to sponsor me before thank you for coming back again! This year I am raising money for the British Red Cross. This is a charity which works to support events at a local level in the UK and to assist overseas in times of conflict and natural disasters.
