Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, I have been rejected from the London Marathon Ballot 14 times (!). I was getting to that stage of running where people were asking me "When are you going to do a marathon?!" and I decided 2024 would be my year - before my knees give in if I take after my parents haha. 

I know you probably think I run all time time, but I have never ran further than a Half Marathon before so this will certainly be a challenge and I am thankful to have great support at home to train around my two young children and full time job. Please feel free to follow me on Strava under Christie Williamson to keep up to date with my training plan which I will begin in December.

I looked into running for a charity due to the generosity of my workplace matched funding scheme, the pressure to raise as much was reduced which will in turn allow me to focus on the gruelling training block I have coming up - but lets face it, I am just pleased I have an excuse to create a new spreadsheet/training plan!

Crimestoppers are a charity that allows people to speak up and report crime 100% anonymously. I have used the charity myself and seen the work they can do for vulnerable people during my time as a Special Constable. With your help we can make the streets safer.
