The Lady Fatemah Trust is a non-profit, non-governmental and faith-based humanitarian organisation whose mission is to empower the world's poorest to lift them out of poverty with dignity.

A grassroots campus campaign started by Ahlulbayt Societies has been set up to help the dire needs of the millions of oppressed people of Yemen. Amnesty have said that "over 22 million people are in need of urgent humanitarian aid, up to 5.6 million people are on the brink of famine and a staggering 8.4 million people don't know where the next meal is coming from, with pregnant women and children at high risk."

Our fundraiser will support local charities on the ground in Yemen via the Lady Fatemah Charitable Trust. These funds will be used to provide essentials for the victims who are deprived of basic human necessities.

The holy month of Ramadhan is a month of blessing, mercy and giving. One of the doors that Allah has opened to His slaves to gain big rewards in the month of Ramadhan is through Sadaqa (giving charity). With regards to providing iftar the Holy Prophet (S) says, "One who gives iftaar to a fasting person during this month will be like one who has freed someone and his past sins will be forgiven."
