Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Me, my Mum and my Sister are aiming to complete a 13 mile midnight walk in aid of St. Lukes Hospice in Plymouth.

After being diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease in May 2009, my special Dad lost his fight to this dreadful disease on 1st February 2010. His last couple of weeks with us were eased for him and for us all with the help of this wonderful place and some extraordinary people.

The Hospice costs more than £5 million each year to run. Government funding is extremely limited so each year at least £3.5m must be raised within the local community. Help us achieve this target by donating as much or as little as you can afford. This will ensure that other terminally ill people can get the same love and care that my Dad recieved from St. Lukes.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
