Story
I keep being asked how I'm celebrating my birthday this year. And some don't like the response I'm giving - I don't feel much like celebrating at the moment.
I am extremely fortunate to be in a position where I am being given every intervention possible to beat 'Colin'. But I'm tired, p'eed off, prematurely menopausal, and determined to keep myself well and quarantined from bugs long enough to get these next 9 doses of chemo in me.
Last week, when I hit a particularly rough patch, I stepped foot inside Bury Cancer Support Centre for the first time. What an amazing place, run by amazing people.
I left, 3 hours later, feeling calm, more positive, and had had some reflexology to relieve stress and to boost my immune system.
And I want to go back. Frequently!
Everything that the centre offers is provided free of charge. And every penny of their costs are raised through charitable donations.
So please, if you were thinking of getting me something, make a donation here instead. I have a feeling I may be needing them a lot in the coming months (before I get my taste for alcohol back!)
Thank you in advance
Claire xx
