Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On Wednesday 1 October I modelled in the Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show which was my first time ever on a professional catwalk!
All of the 24 models who took part in this special event, like me, have experienced a diagnosis of breast cancer. The Show is an amazing occasion of fashion, fundraising and inspiration proving that you can look and feel great after a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Last year I volunteered at this fantastic event raising over £350,000 and this money made a vital difference to Breast Cancer Care. I was so inspired by the event and the confidence of the models that I applied this year - and was accepted. I used the charity’s Someone Like Me service, Lingerie Evenings, Helpline and Younger Women Together events so I know how important that support is for anyone diagnosed. I am proud to be an ambassador for this great charity! Modelling is one way of conquering my fears – when my confidence was at its lowest I never thought I would plan to get up on a catwalk in front of so many people, to raise money to ensure other women and men will continue to receive the support they need in the future from Breast Cancer Care.
The reality is that there are more than half a million people in the UK today who have been diagnosed with breast cancer and every year more than 55,000 hear the devastating news that they have the disease. Thanks to the generosity of people like you supporting The Show, Breast Cancer Care is here for every one of them, providing expert information and skilled emotional and practical support when it’s needed most.
Please consider making a donation to this non-profit charity Breast cancer Care so people like me can keep receiving free support to help with facing the impact and effects of breast cancer.
Thank you for sponsoring me and showing your support!
