Thanks to all who have sponsored us and also the team that took part - we all had a fantastic weekend of great company, beautiful scenery and fabulous summery weather. The ride was a great thrill from the awesome back roads of the Lake District, the steep hill climbs in Northumberland and the gentle downhill runs towards Tynemouth.

Special thanks goes to Keith for supporting us riders throughout the weekend, and Dave for driving & been the medic of the moment in my time of need!!

Hi there,

This year a team of hardy L&IS cyclists will be attempting the Coast 2 Coast cycle challenge starting from Whitehaven, Cumbria and cycling across the Lakes to finish 136 miles later in Newcastle upon Tyne - where ceremoniously we'll be able to dip our front wheel in the Tyne to mark completing this awesome journey.

We are also being supported on the ride by Keith Singleton.

 

We are supporting the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF), now known as ABF - The Soldiers' Charity which provides financial and practical support to soldiers, former soldiers, and their families in times of need. This is also supported by BAE Systems Charity Challenge 2010.
